MINOT, N.D. – With puck-drop on a new season just days away, the ACHA announced its preseason men's hockey poll earlier this month, and the 3-time ACHA National Champion Minot State Beavers find themselves ranked No. 4 in the country to start a new season.

The Beavers open the 2026-27 season hosting Arizona State this Saturday and Sunday, September 26-27, at the Eck Rink at the Maysa Arena. Puck drops at 7:30 p.m. both nights.

The Minot State men (0-0-0 overall) received 662 points and 3 first-place votes in the preseason poll.

The defending national champion Ohio Bobcats collected 741 points and 25 first-place votes in the opening poll to land at the No. 1 spot.

Adrian received 697 points and 4 first-place votes to land at No. 2, and UNLV collected 683 points and one first-place vote and is No. 3.

Minot State's in-state rivals, Jamestown and Mary, checked in at No. 8 with 502 points, and No. 11 with 446 points, respectively.

Minot State's season-opening foe, Arizona State (3-1-0), was just outside the Top 25, earning points and landing unofficially at No. 30. The Sun Devils opened their season with a home-and-home series against San Diego State the first two weekends of September, with Arizona State winning 3-of-4.
