MSU Athletics

2014: Played and started in all 49 games for the Beavers in her senior season... Batted .322 on the season, third best for Minot State... Tallied 31 runs batted in, six home runs and 11 stolen bases... Went 5-for-5 against Bemidji State (4/3) and drove in six runs.

2013: Appeared in all 52 games, starting all but one... Hit for a .289 batting average... Belted 44 hits including three doubles, two triples and seven home runs... Collected two hits and three RBI against Bemidji State (4/3).

2012: Played in 34 games for the Beavers, starting 28 of them... Compiled a .329 batting average and 15 runs batted in throughout the season... Had a career high three hits vs. Dakota College-Bottineau (4/17).

2011: Played in 36 games during her freshman season... Recorded her first career hit against Calumet College of Indian (3/11) in a two hit performance recording two doubles.

High School: Played volleyball, basketball and softball for Bishop Ryan High School... Named Miss Softball after a stellar senior season... Finished with over 500 strikeouts... Was All-District in volleyball... Won the Monsignor Hogan Award and Character Counts Award.

Personal: Daughter of Karla and Jon Backes... Member of the Minot State University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC), serving as the group's Secretary/Treasurer... Member of the Accounting Club and Entrepreneurship Club...  Majoring in Accounting and Finance.
