Played for the 2017 18U London Badgers, making one appearance on the mound with four strikeouts over 6.0 innings... Tossed 6.0 innings scoreless, allowing three hits and two walks while holding opponents to a .136 batting average against on Aug. 18, 2017... Appeared in six games from the batters box with four hits in 13 at-bats with one double and three RBI... Posted a .308 (4x13) batting average with the London Badgers... Named Pitcher of the Year in 2014 and 2016 and Hitter of the Year in 2015 as a member of the Badgers... Was team captain in 2017 and 2018... Member of the 2017 18U Canadian Baseball National Championship team and was awarded Game 3 MVP of the 2017 18U Canadian Baseball National Championship... Coach Eul after Johnston signed. "Brendan brings versatility on both sides of the ball for us. He comes from an up and coming program in Ontario and has been the leader of that program for a couple of years. We are excited to see Brendan show off his athleticism in a Minot State uniform."
