Chris Compton enters his second full season as a Student Assistant Coach for the Beavers.
Compton played two full seasons for the Minot State as a defensive back in 2009 and 2010. In 2010, Compton had a great season playing in all 10 games for the Beavers. He recorded 49 tackles (18 solo,31 assisted) on the year, including 1.5 for a loss.
Early on in the 2011 season, Compton's playing career was cut short due to an injury in the second game of the season. Compton continued to support his team by working as a student assistant while recovering from his injury.
A native of Grand Forks, N.D., Compton is majoring in Corporate Fitness at Minot State University.
