Jeff Engel is in his fifth season as the defensive line coach at Minot State University.

Engel coached at Upper Iowa University in Fayette, Iowa, for eight seasons, where he served as the defensive line and strength and conditioning coach. He was Upper Iowa's Assistant Head Coach during the 2004-05 season.

He began his coaching career as a graduate assistant coach for the NCAA Division III National Champion University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse in 1995. From there, he was a GA for Central Missouri State.

Engel earned a Master's Degree in Sport Administration from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse. He holds an undergraduate degree in Physical Education and Sport Administration from Luther College (Minn.). He is also a certified Strength and Conditioning Coach.

Coach Engel was a football letter winner for Luther College.

Engle and his wife Jodi have a son, Jackson, and a daughter, Jacey.
