Josh Kittell

Josh Kittell begins his third season as a full-time assistant coach and his fifth season overall in the Minot State University Football program.

He spent theĀ first two years as a graduate assistant for the Beavers and one year as a part-time assistant before being promoted to full time.


Kittell is no stranger - much to the chagrin of Beavers fans - to the Dakota Athletic Conference as he was named the DAC’s Co-Most Valuable Player his senior season at Jamestown College. Kittell helped the Jimmies to a NAIA National Playoff berth in his final season.

Kittell holds the Dakota Athletic Conference record for total offense in a season, amassing 3,445 yards in 10 games. During his stellar career for the Jimmies, he threw for 5,763 yards and 57 touchdowns. He senior year he accounted for 30 touchdowns, including 25 passing and finished with 2,938 yards through the air.

Before his tenure at Minot State, Kittell was an assistant football coach at Dakota College at Bottineau (N.D.).

Kittell is a native of Garrison, N.D.
