Michael Painter

Michael Painter will begin his second season as an assistant coach with the Beavers.

Painter will once again coach the defensive backs at Minot State. In 2012, the Beaver DB's snatched six of the eight interceptions for the team.

Prior to coming to Minot State, Painter spent time at one of the most storied collegiate football programs in the country, Notre Dame.

He spent both the 2010 and 2011 seasons as a graduate assistant for the Fighting Irish, assisting with inebackers and special teams. Painter coached multiple NFL draft picks including 2012 1st Round pick, Harrison Smith.

From 2007-2009 Painter assisted at the University of Cincinnati as a graduate assistant. Over his years there, he worked with tight ends, wide receivers and defensive backs. Painter earned his Masters from Cincinnati in 2009.

In 2006, he received a Bachelors degree from Bowling Green State University.

Painter is a native of Sandusky, Ohio.Â
