Coach Mike Bruno joined the Beaver football staff in the winter of 2023 and will be the defensive coordinator and linebackers coach for Minot State.
Coach Bruno joins the Minot State staff after spending the past season as linebackers coach at UNLV.
Prior to joining the Rebels staff, Bruno spent four seasons at the University of California in the Pac-12 as a defensive assistant, spent a season at Louisville as a defensive assistant, and served as a graduate assistant coaching on the defensive side of the ball at Mississippi State for two season where he earned his Masters in Teaching in 2017.
Coach Bruno also spent five seasons at Dartmouth in the Ivy League as a secondary and special teams coach, and began his collegiate coaching career spending two seasons at NCAA Division III Worcester Poly (Mass.).
A native of Westport, Connecticut, Bruno earned his Bachelors in Mathematics from Saint Lawrence (N.Y.) in 2009 where he played four seasons at safety..
