After playing two seasons as a linebacker, Freng moves into a a role as a student assistant coach for the Beavers in the fall of 2023.

Freng joined the Beavers in the fall of 2020 after graduating from Heritage High School in Littleton, Colorado where he played football and ran track & field. He earned First-Team All-League honors in football and also competed in the 4x200-meter relay and the shot put on the track and field team. ...His paretns are Dan and Kelly Freng and he is majoring in history education.
