Scott Larsen

Scott Larsen was named Minot State University Assistant Football Coach / Defensive Line in May 2015.

In his first season with the Beavers, Larson coached a defensive line unit that helped MSU record 22 sacks and force seven fumbles. Minot State ranked in the top half of the conference in both overall defense and opponent's third down conversion percentage. 

Larsen coached the past three seasons at Snow College after a solid playing career at Southern Utah.

During his three years at Snow College, Larsen rose from two seasons coaching the defensive line to Defensive Coordinator in 2014. His 2014 defense was ranked No. 7 in the nation and ranked in the top 20 nationally in both sacks and turnovers. In 2012, Snow College forced 43 turnovers and allowed just 13 points per game while rising to a No. 3 national ranking. In all, the Badgers were 24-9 in his three seasons.

Along with All-NSIC player Thomas Bryson, he had four All-WSFL players including Mark Ata and Ofa Hautau who were named WSFL Defensive Players of the Year during their respective careers. Along with Ata and Hautau, Jake Miller earned All-American honors.

Larsen, a Farmington, Utah native, played from 2005-09 at Southern Utah, starting two seasons for the Thunderbirds. He finished his four-year career with 41 games played and amassed 70 tackles in his career. During his senior season, Larsen finished with 30 tackles and 3.5 sacks.
