Scott MacDonald

Scott MacDonald will begin his second year coaching at his Alma Mater as he will head the offensive line and tight ends in 2013.

In 2012, MacDonald helped coach two Northern Sun All-Conference performers in Mitch Haugeberg and Admir Mujakovic. The offensive line as a unit ranked fifth in the NSIC-North in sacks allowed, giving up 34 sacks on the year.

 

Before returning to Minot State, MacDonald spent 10 years as a special eduation teacher in Rochester, Minn.

 

MacDonald spent the past two years coaching the defensive line at Rochester Community Technical College in Minnesota. He coached four seasons at Century High School in Rochester, Minn., prior to coaching at RCTC, while working towards a Master’s Degree in Emotional Behavioral Disorders at Minnesota State Mankato.

 

Originally from Fremont, Calif., MacDonald played two seasons (1997-1998) for the Beavers, earning first team All-Conference honors his senior season on the offensive line. He continued at MSU as a student assistant coach until finishing his degree in Social Studies with a minor in coaching.

 

He also played two seasons at Chabot Junior College in Hayward, Calif.

 

MacDonald has one son, Jacob William and lives in Minot.
