Tate Borlik

Tate Borlik begins his second season with Minot State University football as a Graduate Assistant Football Coach working primarily with the tight ends.

During his first season Borlik helped coach MSU tight end Keegan Verdugo to rank third on the team in receptions (16) and fourth in yards (153). MSU tight ends also recorded two touchdowns in the 2015 season. 

Borlik is a graduate of Saint Joseph's College in Rensselaer, Ind., where he played quarterback from 2011-14. During his time as a student-athlete, he threw for 2,707 yards and 19 touchdowns and also finished with one rushing touchdown. He helped Saint Joseph's College to the No. 1 rushing offense and top rated offense in the Great Lakes Valley Conference in both 2012-13 and 2013-14.

He was conference player of the week in the GLVC in 2013 and was named Great Lakes Football Conference player of the week in 2011 before the school made the change to the GLVC. Borlik started 13 games and appeared in 33 games as quarterback and holder during his career. He was elected captain in 2014.

Along with playing for Saint Joseph's, he also completed one season as a student assistant coach, working with the quarterbacks and wide receivers in the spring of 2015.

Borlik, a native of South Bend, Ind., graduated from Saint Joseph's College with a degree Business Administration.

He is pursuing a Master's Degree in Management from Minot State.
