MSU Athletics

Coach Jacob Sobolik joined the Minot State men's basketball staff as a graduate assistant coach in the summer of 2024. His duties with the team will involve scouting, player development, and various other operations.
 
Sobolik joins MSU after spending the last four years serving as a student manager/assistant at NSIC rival Minnesota State Moorhead. Duties there included practice set-up, aiding in team travel, equipment management, in-game tracking of statistics, and other duties. During his time at MSU Moorhead, the men’s basketball team posted an impressive 80-30 record.
 
Sobolik graduated from MSU Moorhead with a bachelor’s degree in business administration with an emphasis in marketing.
