Karen Senette begins her second season as Assistant Women's Basketball Coach at Minot State.
Senette helped the Beavers orchestrate the 10th best turnaround in NCAA Division II in 2017-18. After winning just four games in the season prior to her arrival, Senette helped lead the Beavers to 14 wins last year.
Senette joined Minot State after spending the past two seasons as an assistant coach at Lewis University. She was responsible for guard development, scheduling and team travel as well as assisted in scouting and recruiting at Lewis.
A former two-time captain at Elmhurst College, Senette earned All-CCIW Third Team honors twice as a member of the women's basketball team. She graduated from Elmhurst in 2014 with a degree in psychology. Along with all conference, she earned the team's Blue Jay Award in 2012 and her team's Most Valuable Player Award following a 10.2 points and 3.7 assists per game average in 2014.
She started her coaching career as an assistant at Benedictine University in Lisle, Ill., and served as an assistant coach for the Illinois Lady Lightning AAU program in Wheaton, Ill. Senette has also been involved in multiple camps such as the Doug Bruno Basketball Camp, Northwest Basketball Camp and the Judson University Summer Basketball Camp.
