Biography

2024-25 Season
Finished 8th in the javelin with a throw of 123 feet, 10 inches at the NSIC Outdoor Championship, and was 15th with a collegiate-best mark of 126-7 in the discus. Added outdoor bests of 38-3.5 in the shot put and 124-0 in the javelin at the Bison Open. Indoors, she had a collegiate-best throw of 38-1.5 in the weight throw at the SDSU Indoor Classic.

Prior to MSU
Nelson won the North Dakota State A title in the shot put and discus in 2021 at Devils Lake HS. Personal-best throws of 38 feet, 6 inches in the shot put, 111-10 in the discus, and 108-2 in the javelin.
