Buckley is in her sixth season as head coach of the Vikings volleyball program and has collected a record of 104-75 during her tenure. Her best season thus far came in 2008 when she led Augie to a 23-11 mark, tying them for third in the NSIC. Wayne State College is coached by Scott Kneifl. Kneifl is in his ninth season at the head of the Wildcat volleyball program. Over his career at WSC he has a record of 221-79 overall 123-46 in NSIC matches. RANKINGS: Minot State was not ranked in the Nov. 11 American Volleyball Coaches Association Division II Poll. Augustana College did not crack the top 25 in the poll but did receive votes while Wayne State College was put at No. 20 in the AVCA poll. The NSIC is the most well represented conference in the AVCA poll as five Northern Sun teams are ranked in the top 25 including No. 1 Concordia University, St. Paul and No. 3 University of Minnesota Duluth.
RECENT HISTORY: During the final two weekends of the regular season, Minot State had a chance to compete for a spot in the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Tournament. However, the road ahead is now a lot tougher for the Beavers as they dropped two matches on the road in NSIC play. MISU fell in straight sets to No. 8 Southwest Minnesota State on Friday night and then dropped to University of Sioux Falls in four sets on Saturday. Augustana College survived a scare from MSU-Moorhead Friday night as they needed all five sets to get the win over the Dragons. Saturday afternoon the Vikings picked up their third win in the last four matches as they swept No. 23 Northern State. For the third time this season, Wayne State College has lost two NSIC matches in a row. They fell to Northern State and MSU-Moorhead on the weekend, both matches took five sets to decide the winner. With eight NSIC losses, it is the most for any WSC team since 2008.
NOTING THE VIKINGS: Augustana College is having their best season since 2008 when they finished 23-11 overall and tied for third in the Northern Sun. The Vikings have already secured a 20-win season and an appearance in the NSIC Tournament as they currently sit in fifth place in the conference. Holly Hafemeyer has had a standout season for Augie, collecting 391 kills and a .368 hitting percentage through 26 matches. Courtney Ysker has also put together a solid season, putting up 362 kills and 325 digs on the year. The Vikings are statistically the best team in the NSIC at digging as they notch an average of 18.4 digs per set, led by Kayla Wallerich with 4.3 digs per set.
NOTING THE WILDCATS: Wayne State College has been a solid program for over ten years in the Northern Sun. With just one win on Friday or Saturday, WSC will secure their tenth straight 20+ win season and ninth straight under head coach Scott Kneifl. Cori Hobbs has been the leading hitter for the Wildcats all season and has collected 347 kills but has needed 1,191 attempts to get there. Alyssa Frauendorfer has by far been the most efficient member of the WSC squad, notching 279 kills for a .347 hitting percentage. Defensively, Courtney VanGroningen has led the Wildcats with 456 digs and currently sits No. 4 in the NSIC with 4.5 digs per set.
SNAPPING THE STREAK: Minot State has lost three straight matches entering the regular season finale weekend. The Beavers will look to avoid tying their season long losing streak of four matches, when they lost to two top 10 teams in the nation (SMSU & UMD). Minot State is 2-1 this season when entering a match with a three match or more losing streak.
SIGNATURE WIN: Since joining the NCAA Division II and Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference in 2012, Minot State is 0-11 against teams receiving votes or ranked in the American Volleyball Coaches Association Poll. The Beavers will get two opportunities this weekend on their home floor as both Augie and Wayne State are receiving votes. In fact, MISU hadn't won a set against a ranked opponent until Oct. 25 when they defeated No. 1 Concordia, St. Paul in the third set in a home match.
DOUBLE TROUBLE:
Jen Dixon (Jr., OH, Brandon, Manitoba) and
Mallory Sall (So., OH, Port Coquitlam, British Columbia) are no strangers to recording double-digit kills. Lisa Webb currently holds the record with 74 double-digit kill matches.

Kelsey Wingo (MH, Twain Harte, Calif.) and
Sara Friesen (MH, Brandon, Manitoba) will be making their final home appearances as a Beaver this weekend. Wingo has had a solid senior year with 138 kills and 58 blocks. Friesen has seen limited action in 2013 due to injury but has recorded 334 kills over her career with Minot State.
BY THE NUMBERS
.067: In 2012, the Beavers hit just .130 for the season while this year the team's hitting has improved to .197, a difference of .067. This difference can be directly correlated to the team's success winning 12 matches compared to just six a year ago.
30:
Jen Dixon (Jr., OH, Brandon, Manitoba) needs 30 kills during the final two matches to have the sixth most kills in a single season in Minot State history. Dixon currently has 359 kills and will look to pass Julie Horst's 1996 record of 388 kills. Dixon also sits No. 2 on this list as she attained 519 kills during the 2011 season.
.274:
Tarah Dabovich (So., MH, Phoenix, Ariz.) leads the Beavers with a .274 hitting percentage on the season. If she maintains or improves this average, she will crack into the top 10 single-season hitting percentage in Minot State history.Dabovich has 195 kills and also a team-high 69 blocks on the year.
