'The Voice' takes over at MSU Noon Luncheon Series

KCJB's Scott Kittell will assume master of ceremony duties Friday

MINOT, N.D. – There will be a familiar voice behind the microphone at this week's installment of the Minot State Athletic Department and KMOT TV Noon Luncheon Series Friday at Seven's Restaurant in the Vegas Motel.

"The Voice of the Beavers" Scott Kittell will be the master of ceremonies as we say goodbye to the venerable Johnny Mangano.

The Noon Luncheon series is each week during home contests in the fall and winter and provides a behind-the-scenes look into Minot State Athletics. Coaches and players are featured guests each week and will answer questions and insight into wins, losses and the weekend's action.

This week featured teams are football and volleyball as the Beavers will play host to Minnesota Crookston (football Saturday, 1:30 p.m.) and Bemidji State and UMC (volleyball Friday and Saturday, 7 p.m.). Head football coach Tyler Hughes and head volleyball coach Travis Ward will serve as keynote speakers with Randel Barber and Wyatt Grindy as featured guest for football and Emily Byrne as featured guest for volleyball.

Minot State fans are encouraged to have questions for all of the honored guests as well.

The Noon Luncheon Series begins promptly at Noon at the Ballroom at Seven's with a meal this week consisting of beef stew, biscuits and rice. The sides are corn, tossed salad and pasta salad and the dessert is German chocolate cake. All of this, a video highlight package from the athletic department's RedVision Productions, some great interaction with the state's only public NCAA Division II athletic program and a rousing rendition of the school song for just $11 per person.
