Minot State moves Jordan Aus into Associate AD for revenue & ticketing role

MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State athletic department is calling on a familiar face to take on a new role within Beaver Athletics.

Minot State's Vice President for Student Affairs and Intercollegiate Athletics, Kevin Harmon, is pleased to announce that Jordan Aus will be taking over as the new Associate Athletic Director for Revenue and Ticketing starting November 1.

Currently, Coach Aus is in his second season as the Beavers' head track and field coach. He will continue in that role until a new Minot State head track and field coach is hired. The search for a new coach is currently underway.

"I'm excited to welcome Jordan Aus to our athletic department's leadership team in a new role focused on expanding and enhancing our revenue streams," Harmon said. "Jordan's energy, creativity, and deep ties to our campus, community, and state make this a vital and strategic move for the continued growth of Beaver Athletics.

"While it's certainly bittersweet to see Jordan step away from his position as head coach of our track and field program, I'm thrilled that we're retaining such a talented leader who understands our vision and values. His impact on our student-athletes and the program has been tremendous, and I have no doubt he will bring that same passion and drive to his new role.

"We remain fully committed to excellence in our track and field program and will immediately begin the process of attracting the best possible candidate to be our next head coach. This is an exciting time for our department, and I'm confident we are positioned for continued success both on and off the field.

Aus will be in charge of revenue generation and ticketing for the Minot State athletic department.

"I am very grateful for the opportunity to serve in this new administrative role for the athletic department here at Minot State," Aus said. "I am especially excited because, in this new role, I will still be actively engaged with the track and field and cross-country programs, but now from an administrative role. With this transition, I will have the opportunity to develop new revenue generation strategies for the athletic department and collaborate with the foundation and development staff to focus on athletic fundraising efforts. I truly believe that these efforts will benefit not just the track and field program, but the entire athletic department."

Aus joined the Minot State athletic department in the summer of 2024 as the head track and field coach. In his first season leading the Beaver program, the team set 4 new all-time indoor and 4 all-time outdoor school records. Also, Bailey Wride won the NSIC title in the women's 1,000 meters at the NSIC Indoor Championships, Zaccharius Brown earned All-NSIC honors in the men's 400 meters at the NSIC Outdoor Championships, and the women's track and field team was named an USTFCCCA All-Academic Team.

Prior to joining the athletic department staff as a head coach, Aus spent 10 years leading the Sheyenne High School track and field program in Fargo, North Dakota.

"I was drawn to this position because of the ability to have a positive impact on the entire athletic department; having the opportunity to elevate the experience for our student-athletes and coaches is really what guided my transition to this new role," he said. "I truly believe in our athletic director, Kevin Harmon's, vision for the athletic department to become a destination location for athletics, and I am very excited to help turn that vision into reality. We have all of the pieces in place to achieve that vision: A great university, a robust and supportive community, and the right leadership. With all of this, it's truly an exciting time to be a part of Minot State Athletics, and I look forward to putting in the work, engaging with our community and alumni, and creating a transformational experience for our student-athletes."
