FAYETTE, Iowa – Minot State sophomore
Emily Falldorf recorded 10 kills while
Shelby Spuller added eight kills, but the Beavers lost to Upper Iowa 25-17, 25-17, 25-13 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference match on Saturday in Dorman Gym.
It marked the seventh time this season that Falldorf has reached double figures in kills and the second time in the last four matches.
Nicole Wondrasek added four kills for the Beavers and posted a .300 hitting percentage.
Freshman
Karli Koza posted a match-high 21 digs to lead the Beavers, while Spuller finished with 12 digs. For Koza it marked the 25
th time this season she has reached double figures in digs and the 10
th time she has posted at least 20 digs in a match.
Minot State dropped to 5-22 overall and 1-17 in the NSIC, while Upper Iowa improved to 20-7 overall and 11-7 in conference play.
The Peacocks were led by Anna Winter who had eight kills and Bethany Lovhaug who had five blocks.
Minot State will return home to conclude the 2017 season. The Beavers hosts Minnesota State on Friday (Nov. 10) at 6 p.m. and conclude the season by hosting Concordia-St. Paul at 1 p.m. on Saturday (Nov. 11).
