MINOT, N.D. -- Following a non-conference victory at Dickinson State, the Minot State volleyball team returns to Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play this weekend at Augustana and Wayne State. The Beavers will face Augustana on Friday (Oct. 19) at 6 p.m. and conclude the weekend at Wayne State on Saturday (Oct. 20) at 2 p.m.
The Beavers defeated Dickinson State 25-21, 25-18, 25-19 on Tuesday in a non-conference match.
Nicole Wondrasek posted a season-high 13 kills and also had a .308 attack percentage, while
Shelby Spuller added 10 kills for Minot State.
Hayley Swain registered nine kills and a .643 hitting percentage, while
Emily Falldorf had six kills and two blocks.
Minot State, which is 11-13 overall and 4-10 in the NSIC, have registered the most wins for the program since the 2014 season. The Beavers four NSIC wins is also the most for Minot State since the 2014 season.
Spuller currently leads the Beavers with 323 kills on the season and is averaging 3.80 per set, which ranks seventh in the NSIC.
Falldorf is second on the team with 175 kills and a 2.06 kills per set average, while
Jeanne Brenner has 174 kills and is averaging 2.05 per set. Falldorf leads the Beavers with 55 total blocks and a 0.65 blocks per set average.
Swain leads Minot State with a .329 attack percentage and ranks second on the team with 41 blocks and a 0.48 blocks per set average.
Senior setter
Kelsey Dewulf is eighth in the NSIC averaging 10.07 assists per set and she is third on the team averaging 2.01 digs per set.
Sophomore libero
Karli Koza paces the Beavers in both digs and service aces. She has 417 digs and is averaging 4.91 per set and has 20 service aces on the year.
Augustana is 8-14 overall and 3-11 in the NSIC, while Wayne State is 17-6 overall and 9-5 in conference play.
