Karli Koza broke the Minot State career digs record in the NCAA Division II era, but Minot State suffered a 25-19, 25-23, 25-13 loss at the hands of Minnesota State on Friday in the Taylor Center. Koza recorded 15 digs to move past
Cindy Pelo into first place on the Beavers career digs list in the DII era.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Minnesota State hit .306 in the first set to offset seven kills from Shelby Spuller on its way to a 25-19 win
- Emily Falldorf had five kills and posted a perfect 1.000 attack percentage, but Minnesota State broke a 23-23 deadlock with a pair of kills to win the second set 25-23
- Shelby Spuller had four kills and Jeanne Brenner added two kills, but Minnesota State hit .303 to claim a 25-13 win

- Karli Koza had 15 digs to up her career digs total to 846 and moving her into first place on the DII era list
- Shelby Spuller finished with a team-high 14 kills and extended her string of double-figure kill matches to 12 straight
