Clements Leads Three in Double Figures

MINOT, N.D. -- Kari Clements led three players in double figures with a game-high 19 points and Minot State improved to 5-1 on the season with a 66-59 victory over Valley City State on Tuesday in the Minot State Dome.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Kari Clements scored five points and Minot State held Valley City State to 15.4 percent shooting as the Beavers took an 11-4 lead after the first quarter
  • Mariah Payne and Kari Clements each scored five points in the second quarter and the Beavers took a 25-24 lead into halftime
  • Madison Wald scored five points and Haley Hildenbrand, Kari Clements and Reina Strand each had four points in the third quarter as the Beavers extended the lead to 42-36
  • Mariah Payne scored eight points and Minot State shot 71.4 percent from the floor and outscored the Vikings 24-23 in the fourth quarter

  • Kari Clements led the Beavers with 19 points and five steals
  • Kari Clements was 7-of-14 from the floor and also had five rebounds and three assists
