Fourth-Quarter Rally Spoils Minot State Senior Day

MINOT, N.D. -- Kiante Goudeau had four tackles and returned an interception for a touchdown, but St. Cloud State scored 21 straight points to end the game to defeat Minot State 30-23 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game on Senior Day on Saturday in Herb Parker Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • JoseLuis Moreno booted a 37-yard field goal at the 4:10 mark of the first quarter giving the Beavers a 3-0 lead
  • St. Cloud State tied the game at 3-3 when Adam Stage connected on a 23-yard field goal at the 14:09 mark of the second quarter
  • The Huskies took a 6-3 lead when Adam Stange hit on a 24-yard field with 6:59 to play before halftime
  • The Beavers took a 10-6 lead when Ben Bolinske connected on a 56-yard scoring pass to Lavante Bushnell at the 6:41 mark of the second quarter
  • Adam Stage cut the Beavers lead to 10-9 with a 31-yard field goal with 5:13 to play before halftime
  • Kiante Goudeau intercepted a pass and weaved his way 23 yards for a touchdown upping the Beavers lead to 16-9 at the 2:49 mark of the second quarter
  • Minot State increased the lead to 23-9 when Ben Bolinske scored on a 2-yard run early in the third quarter
  • St. Cloud State began its comeback when Dwayne Lawhorn connected with John Solberg on a 41-yard scoring play at the 8:26 mark of the third quarter
  • Gregory Lewis scored on a 15-yard run at the 13:14 mark of the fourth quarter to tie the game at 23-23
  • Dwayne Lawhorn scored what proved to be the winning touchdown on a 3-yard run at the 10:25 mark of the fourth quarter
