MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Madison Wald, Kari Clements and Haley Hildenbrand each reached double figures in scoring, but Minot State lost to Minnesota State Moorhead 90-65 on Saturday in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game in Nemzek Fieldhouse.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Madison Wald scored nine points and Kari Clements added five points as MSU Moorhead held an 18-16 lead after the first quarter
• Minot State shot a blistering 76.9 percent from the floor and 80.0 percent from the three-point line in the second quarter as each team scored 24 points and the Dragons took a 42-40 lead into halftime
• Madison Wald scored six points in the second quarter for Minot State, while Azaria Reed had five points
• MSU Moorhead shot 50.0 percent from the floor in the third quarter and the Dragons outscored the Beavers 24-14
• MSU Moorhead shot 69.2 percent from the field in the fourth quarter as the Dragons closed out the game by outscoring Minot State 24-11

• Madison Wald led Minot State with 17 points
• Kari Clements scored 12 points and led Minot State with six assists
• Haley Hildenbrand also reached double figures with 10 points
• Mariah Payne finished with eight points, four rebounds and three assists

• Mariah Payne led the Beavers with four rebounds
