MINOT N.D. -- Madison Wald scored 21 points but Minot State fell short as the Beavers dropped the last Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference game of 2018 to the University of Mary 58-67 on Sunday Dec. 30, in the MSU Dome.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• University of Mary shot nearly 60 percent from the floor in the first quarter and raced out to a 23-8 lead
• Minot State outscored Mary in the second quarter, but the Marauders held the lead into halftime at 38-27
• Minot State kept the score close in the third quarter, outscoring Mary by 1 trimming the lead to 56-46
• Minot State outscored the Marauders in the fourth quarter 12-11 but it wasn't enough to dig out of the first quarter hole

• Madison Wald led Minot State with 21 points

• Minot State dropped to 5-7 overall and 0-6 in the NSIC
