MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State women's basketball team received their fourth signing addition to their 2018 class, head coach
Mark Graupe announced on Wednesday.
Azaria Reed is transferring to Minot State after competing one season at Missouri Southern State.
The forward from Brooklyn Park, Minnesota appeared in 10 games for the Lions before being sidelined due to injury.
"Azaria is a player we found last summer, but it was too late," said Graupe. "When Azaria decided to transfer, we got right on her. We love her athleticism and she fits the bill of the type of players we are trying to bring in here. She gives us length at the wing position with her athleticism and ability to drive and shoot the three-pointer."
Reed was a four-time all-conference selection at Osseo High School while finishing eighth on the school's all-time scoring list with 1,013 points and third with 626 rebounds. A three-year captain, Reed earned five letters in basketball and three letters while playing outside hitter in volleyball.
