MOORHEAD, Minn. -- Shelby Spuller had 12 kills and Emily Falldorf added 10 kills, but Minnesota State Moorhead spoiled the Beavers season opener by rallying for a 25-22, 16-25, 19-25, 25-20, 15-9 victory at the Microtel and Travelodge Classic in Nemzek Fieldhouse.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Minnesota State Moorhead won the opening set 25-22
• Minot State bounced back to win the second and third sets. The Beavers won the second set 25-16 and recorded a 25-19 win in the third set
• Minnesota State Moorhead then won the fourth and fifth sets to claim the comeback victory

• Junior Shelby Spuller led Minot State with 12 kills
• Junior Emily Falldorf also reached double figures with 10 kills
• Jeanne Brenner had eight kills, two digs and a block
• Sophomore Karli Koza notched a team-high 26 digs
