Hayley Swain posted a season-high 15 kills and
Emily Falldorf had 11 kills, but Minot State dropped a 22-25, 25-19, 25-20, 25-13 decision to Montana State Billings on Saturday on day two of the Microtel and Travelodge Classic in Nemzek Fieldhouse.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- Minot State jumped out to an early lead as it won the first set 25-22 behind six kills from Hayley Swain
- Montana State Billings rebounded to win the second set 25-19 despite five kills each from Hayley Swain and Emily Falldorf
- The Yellowjackets won the third set 25-20 by hitting .259. Shelby Spuller led the Beavers with four kills
- Montana State Billings wrapped up the match by winning the fourth set 25-13. The Yellowjackets hit .303 in the deciding set, while the Beavers posted a .222 attack percentage. Jeanne Brenner led Minot State with three kills
