KEARNEY, Neb. -- Jeanne Brenner and Shelby Spuller each had seven kills, but Minot State suffered its first loss at the Rosella Meier Tournament on Saturday as it lost to No. 5 Nebraska-Kearney 25-15, 25-15, 25-11.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Jeanne Brenner and Shelby Spuller each had three kills, but Nebraska-Kearney recorded a .410 attack percentage to post a 25-15 win in the first set
• Karli Koza and Shelby Spuller each recorded five digs, but Nebraska-Kearney got six kills from MK Wolfe to win the second set 25-15
• Nebraska-Kearney closed out the match with a 25-11 win in the third set behind a .375 attack percentage
