KEARNEY, Neb. -- Shelby Spuller had 17 kills and Jeanne Brenner added 10 kills as Minot State wrapped up play in the Rosella Meier Tournament with a 25-18, 14-25, 27-25, 25-23 win over Midwestern State on Saturday. The Beavers finished tournament play with a 3-1 record and are currently 5-3 on the season.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Minot State posted a .300 attack percentage and got three kills from Hayley Swain to post a 25-18 first-set victory
• Despite three kills from Shelby Spuller, Midwestern State bounced back to win the second set 25-14 to even the match at 1-1
• Shelby Spuller had seven kills and Kelsey Dewulf recorded 14 assists as Minot State regained the lead with a 27-25 win in the third set
• The Beavers closed out the match with a 25-23 win in the fourth set as a kill from Hayley Swain wrapped up the victory
