MINOT, N.D. -- The Minot State volleyball team returns to the Minot State Dome for a pair of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference matches this weekend. The Beavers host Minnesota Duluth on Friday (Sept. 14) at 6 p.m. and then will meet St. Cloud State on Saturday (Sept. 15) at 12 p.m.
The Beavers, who are 6-5 overall and 1-2 in the NSIC, are coming off a 3-0 sweep of Mary on Tuesday. It marked the Beavers first road conference win since a 3-0 victory against St. Cloud State during the 2014 season.
Shelby Spuller had 11 kills against the Marauders, while
Emily Falldorf had seven kills, four blocks and posted a .462 attack percentage.
Spuller continues to pace the Minot State offense as she has 149 kills on the season and is averaging 3.63 kills per set. She also leads Minot State with 11 service aces and is fourth on the team averaging 1.63 digs per set.
Falldorf leads the Beavers averaging 0.88 blocks per set and ranks second on the team averaging 2.00 kills per set.
Hayley Swain leads the Beavers with a .304 attack percentage and is averaging 1.76 kills per set and 0.59 blocks per set.
Kelsey Dewulf continues to direct the Beaver offense and is averaging 9.59 assists per set. She also is averaging 1.85 digs per set and 0.29 blocks per set.
The Beaver defense is led by
Karli Koza who has 196 digs and is averaging 4.78 digs per set, while
Mekayla Gurley is averaging 2.15 digs per set.
Minnesota Duluth, which is ranked sixth in the nation, is currently 8-3 overall and 2-1 in the NSIC. St. Cloud State enters the weekend with a 7-2 overall record and a 3-0 mark in the NSIC
