ABERDEEN, S.D. -- Lavante Bushnell caught eight passes for 75 yards and Ben Bolinske was 12-of-20 for 180 yards passing and also had a touchdown run, but Minot State lost to Northern State 42-16 on Thursday at Swisher Field in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest..

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Hunter Trautman threw three first-quarter touchdown passes and the Wolves jumped out to a 21-0 lead
• Minot State got on the scoreboard in the second quarter when JoseLuis Moreno converted a field goal from 20 yards out, but Hunter Trautman answered with his fourth touchdown pass and Northern State took a 28-3 lead into halftime
• The Wolves scored the only points in the third quarter on a Chaka Kelly touchdown run to increase the lead to 35-3
• Minot State scored two touchdowns in the fourth quarter as Ben Bolinske scored on a 6-yard run and Lane Torgerson scored on a 38-yard run

• Ben Bolinske finished the game 12-for-20 for 180 yards through the air and added 44 yards rushing and a touchdown
• Lavante Bushnell caught eight passes for 75 yards
• Peyton Lamoureux caught two passes for 101 yards, which included an 87-yard reception
• Lane Torgerson led the Beavers with 45 yards rushing
• Mikael Bradford had an interception and four tackles
• Kiante Goudeau and Kywan Owens each recovered a fumble
• Connor Huston and Chris Rivers led the Beavers with eight tackles each
