Minot State Drops Road Game to St. Cloud State

St. Cloud, M.N. – Minot State lost this evenings Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference men's basketball game against St. Cloud State 54-89. Eight Beavers put points on the board for Minot State with your leading scorers, David Akibo with 19 points and Kyle Beisch with 10 points.

HOW IT HAPPENED
  • Minot State started the first half slow with only 21 points to St. Cloud State's 46.
  • The second half the beavers shot 46.4 percent from the field, 33.3 percent in 3-pointers and a perfect 4-4 from the free throw line
  • The Beavers could not overcome the 25-point deficit from the first half to catch up to the Huskies.
BEAVER TRACKS
  • David Akibo was the leading scorer for the Beavers with 19 points and seven rebounds
  • Kyle Beisch was the second leading scorer with 10 points
  • Kody Dwyer rounded out the leading scorers with a total of nine points
  • Max Cody put up five points and five assists to help the Beavers
TEAM NOTES
  • Minot State shot 44.0 percent from the field and 35.3 percent for 3-pointers on the night
  • Minot State finished with a total of 28 rebounds on the night, but were out rebounded by the Huskies 31-28
  • The Beavers had 17 turnovers to the Huskies five over the game
  • With the loss to St. Cloud State, Minot State falls to 7-11 overall and 2-7 in conference play
