MARSHALL, MINN. – Kyle Beisch led the Beavers with with 24 points, but a late Minot State fell just short as the Beavers dropped an 83-77 decision to Southwest Minnesota Sate in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest on Friday in the in the R/A Facility.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• Kyle Beisch scored 24 points and added seven rebounds
• Minot State held a 40-39 lead in the opening half and shoot 58.1 percent from the floor
• Max Cody had 23 points on 11-16 shooting, Cody added eight assists to lead the Beavers
• The Beavers were outscored 44-37 in the second half
• Minot State was tied 77-77 with .55 seconds left in the game, but Southwest Minnesota State closed the game on a 6-0 run

• Kyle Beisch led the Beavers with 24 points
• Max Cody scored 23 points
• Max Cody was 11-of-16 from the floor and he also led the Beavers with eight assists
• David Akibo had nine points and seven rebounds
• Drake Jeffries added nine points
• Dorian Aluyi scored six points
• Trevor Rothstein grabbed seven rebounds for the Beavers

TEAM NOTES

• Minot State dropped to 7-13 overall and 2-9 in the NSIC
• Minot State shot 52.4 percent from the floor
• The Beavers outrebounded the Mustangs 32-29
