SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – David Akibo led the Beavers with 30 points and 10 rebounds to record his sixth double-double of the season, as Minot State defeated Sioux Falls 75-70 in a Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference contest on Friday, January 19 in the in the Stewart Center.

HOW IT HAPPENED

• David Akibo recorded a double-double with 30 points and 10 rebounds to lead the Beavers
• David Akibo scored 14 first half points on 6-8 shooting
• Kyle Beisch scored 21 points
• Minot State held a 42-36 lead in the opening half and shot 65.4 percent from the floor
• Beavers started out the second half on a 9-3 run
• Beavers never trailed the Cougars in the second half
• David Akibo made two late free-throws to seal the win for the Beavers
