(Minot, N.D.) -- The Minot State volleyball team played well vs. #6 Concordia-St. Paul, but lost in four sets 15-25, 25-21, 21-25, 25-16. Â
At the beginning of the first set with the score 4-3, Minot. Concordia went on a 7-0 run where the team had two service aces to take the lead 10-4. Concordia controlled the set and went on to win the first set 25-15.

In the second set, Minot State came with a different mindset where they answered every Golden Bears run. Concordia went on two crucial 3-0 runs to help maintain the lead throughout the set. The Beavers answered back with two 3-0 runs as well but it wouldn't be enough as the Beavers fell 25-21. Â
Minot State came out strong in the third set with an early 3-1 lead. The Beavers had two 3-0 runs that helped maintain the lead throughout the set. With the score at 22-20, Minot. The Beavers went on a 2-1 run to win the match 25-21. Spuller led the Beavers with four kills. Â
In the fourth set, the Golden Bears went on a 4-0 and 5-0 run. The Beavers could not answer back with runs of their own which gave Concordia the lead and resulted in a 25-16 win in the fourth set. They would take the match three sets to one.
