Box Score (Minot, N.D.) -- Minot State battled throughout the match vs. #12 St. Cloud State today but could not come up with a victory losing in three straight sets 25-20, 25-19, 25-14.
Minot State was down the entire first set by a margin of five or less but could not find a way to take the lead against the Huskies. Senior Shelby Spuller produced three kills for the Beavers to help keep the margin in reach throughout the set. The Huskies won the first set 25-20.
In the second set, the Beavers were leading 10-6 with three kills coming from middle hitter Hayley Swain. St. Cloud marched, going on multiple runs led by Halle Hughes and Rachael Houle, giving them a 25-19 win over Minot State.
In the third set, Minot continued to battle with the Huskies, the score was tied 13-13. The Huskies went on and won the set 25-14, where St. Cloud State went on 12-1 run to end the match.
