Box Score (Minot, N.D.) -- Minot State continues to improve their play but loses three straight sets to #3 Minnesota-Duluth 25-20, 25-19, 25-15.
In the first set, Minot State kept up with the Bulldogs' pace led by freshman Amarrie Welton, who produced three kills and kept the score in the range being down by two, 13-11. The Bulldogs continued to push the lead, not giving the Beavers a chance to make a comeback. The Bulldogs went on to win the set 25-20.
In the second set, UMD went on a 10-0 run, making the score 16-5 Bulldogs. Minot State mounted a comeback with multiple runs of there own led by three kills and a pair of blocks from Hayley Swain. The margin was too large to overcome, though, and the Bulldogs won the second set 25-19.
In the third and final set, Minot State took an early 6-5 lead before the Bulldogs took control of the set and won 25-15.

Minot State University will be on the road next weekend vs. Bemidji State on Oct. 11 at 6:00 p.m. and Minnesota-Crookston on Oct. 12 at 2:00 p.m.
