(MINOT, N.D.) – The Beaver men's basketball team was able to emerge victorious on Wednesday night in the clash with longtime rival Dickinson State University.Â

The first half started even with both teams answering each other with neither side getting out to a large run until the end of the first half when Minot State went on a 9-4 run to take a 38-31 lead into the locker room. In the first half, the Beavers outscored the Blue Hawks 38-31.

In the second half, the Beavers were able to start well.
Kody Dwyer continued to play well with a dunk on the first offensive possession for the Beavers. After a three by
Duane Goodman, the Beavers took their biggest lead of the night at 43-33. Dickinson State would crawl back into the game, outscoring Minot State 9-2 over the next several minutes to cut the deficit to 45-42. The Blue Hawks would continue their momentum, tying it up at 47 before the Beavers would take control of the game after going on a 13-0 run to take a 60-47 lead. Dickinson State would cut it back to five at 60-55, but that would be the closest they would get as the Beavers were able to score four straight, taking a 64-55 lead with 4:30 to go and expanding on it to close out their third win in as many games 74-63.

Beaver Tracks:
- Kody Dwyer had one of his best games, scoring 23 points on 11-15 shooting and adding 11 rebounds.
- Nibra White had his best game of the season, scoring 16 points on 7-11 shooting.
- Max Cody led the team in assists with six.
- Kyle Beisch scored 11 to go along with six rebounds.
- Aleksa Cucovic chipped in with nine rebounds.

Game Notes:
The Beavers outshot the Blue Hawks, shooting 43.3% in the game, but only 15.8% from the three-point arc compared to Dickinson, who shot 41.1% and 10% · The Beavers outrebounded Dickinson State by a wide margin, 48-32.
