(NEW TOWN, N.D.) -- In Minot State's annual exhibition contest at Four Bears Casino & Lodge, the Beavers women's basketball team trounced Dickinson State 82-56 with a balanced offensive attack and stifling defensive performance.
The Minot State offensive was clicking with three players scoring in double-digits.
Mariah Payne led the way again with 17,
Calli Delsman was right behind her with 16, and
Anna Counts came off the bench to add 12.
Payne also led the Beavers in rebounds with eight.
Delsman,
Haley Hildenbrand, and reserve
Mollie Wilson all recorded three assists to lead the club.
The Beavers outscored the Blue Hawks 50-12 to set the tone for the afternoon.
Minot State also shot an impressive 54% from behind the three-point arc with 14 of those makes coming from Payne and Delsman.
The Beavers will begin their regular season on Friday, Nov. 8 when they travel south to take Southern Nazarene University in Oklahoma.
