BELLEVUE, Neb. – The Minot State baseball team extended its win streak to six games with a 6-0 victory over Concordia-St. Paul before falling 4-2 in the second game of a doubleheader in Bellevue, Neb. on Thursday.
Minot State is now 7-7 on the season and 1-1 in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action while the Golden Bears are 11-5 (3-2 NSIC).
Game One: Minot State 6, Concordia-St. Paul 0
How It Happened
- Minot State wasted no time getting on the scoreboard as Trevaun Smith opened the game with a double and touched home on a sacrifice fly by Michael Borst.
- Borst began the fourth inning with a walk and scored on an RBI lineout by Darrel Doll to double the Beaver lead to 2-0.
- Ryley Humrighouse scored on Borst's RBI groundout in the fifth and Doll lift a solo home run in the sixth to extend the Beaver advantage to 4-0.
- The Beavers tacked on a pair of runs in the seventh of an RBI single by Borst and RBI double from Celestino Rodriguez to clinch the 6-0 victory.

- Rodriguez and Humrighouse recorded a team-high two hits apiece.
- Smith, Doll and Borst recorded one hit each.

- Tyler Wiltshire started the second inning with a single and scored on a dropped fly ball to give the Beavers a one-run lead.
- A pair of RBI hits handed Concordia-St. Paul a 2-1 lead after six innings.
- Minot State tied the game at two when Wyatt Schlosser launched a 3-2 pitch over the fence in right field.
- The Golden Bears responded with two runs on three hits and a Minot State error in the bottom of the seventh inning.
