MINOT, N.D. – Minot State recorded its first victories over Augustana since 2014 as the Beavers swept the Vikings (11-8, 7-5) in a doubleheader on Sunday at Corbett Field.
The victories push the Beavers to 17-11 overall and 10-5 in NSIC play while the Vikings fall to 22-9 (15-2 NSIC).
Game One: Minot State 11, Augustana 8
How It Happened
- Ryley Humrighouse walked and scored on Michael Borst's RBI double down the left field line to tie the game at one in the first inning.
- The Vikings took a 3-1 lead in the top of the fifth off three hits and a Minot State error.
- Ethan Fleming and Wyatt Schlosser touched home on wild pitches to tie the game again at three in the fifth.
- Trevaun Smith hit an RBI single to left field, bringing home Darrel Doll before coming home on a Viking throwing error to take a 5-3 lead.
- Borst added to the lead with an RBI single to left field to score Humrighouse.
- Augustana took a 7-6 lead with four runs in the seventh inning.

- Collins lifted a bases-clearing two-RBI double to left field, allowing Schlosser and Rodriguez to score and tie the game at four.
- With the bases-loaded, Mason Gifford drilled a pinch-hit two-RBI double down the right field line to give the Beavers a 6-4 lead.
- Augustana cut the deficit in half with a solo home run in the sixth before the Beavers got the run back in the bottom half of the inning on Rodriguez's RBI single.
