(MINOT, ND)Â -- The beginning of a new season has arrived for Coach
Dana Cordova and the Minot State Beaver women's volleyball team. They are traveling to Honolulu, Hawaii for the Chaminade University Tournament this upcoming weekend.
Tournament play will begin for the Beavers as they face California State University, Chico, at midnight on Sept. 6 and then the University of Hawaii at Hilo later in the day. Tournament play will conclude on the next day, Sept. 7 against the host team, Chaminade University.

The Beavers wrapped up their 2018 season with an overall record of 13-17. Minot State also finished 6-14 in the Northern Sun. This year the Beavers will be led by senior outside hitter
Shelby Spuller who broke the school record for most kills in a season in 2018 with 401.
On the defensive side, the Beavers return libero
Karli Koza, who will be going into her junior year. Last season she produced a total of 533 digs. Senior,
Emily Falldorf and senior,
Hayley Swain were the team's leaders in blocks this past season and will continue to accumulate big numbers for the Beavers.
Returning senior,
Jeanne Brenner will help Spuller as an attacker, as she accumulated the second-most kills on the team in 2018 with 221.
