Five Beavers score in double digits in Minot State's 87-55 victory over Ouachita Baptist

ST. CLOUD, MN --Five Beavers scored in double digits and Minot State beat the Ouachita Baptist Tigers 87-55 at Halenbeck Hall Saturday.

The Beavers (2-0) had five players score in double figures, led by Kody Dwyer, who had 16 points and eight rebounds. Ben Bohl added 13 points, four assists and three steals and Eli Cave chipped in as well with 12 points off of the bench.

The Minot State offense was very productive from deep, making nine threes on 26 attempts. Bohl was the most prolific shooter for the Beavers, draining four treys in the contest.

Minot State's defense held Ouachita Baptist to only 35.6 percent shooting from the field. The Tigers did not have much luck cleaning up their misses on the offensive glass either, as they finished with seven offensive rebounds and managed three second chance points while Minot State cleared 32 defensive rebounds.
