Logan Krueger earn NCAA Championships provisional marks, and
Breanna Johns-Oster and
Nathan Trujillo-Aragon break program records during the big weekend for Minot State track and field at the Black Hills State University Stinger Open.
The Beavers had one of their most dominant performances of the season in the final meet before the NSIC Championships begin on Feb. 26-27 in Mankato, Minn.
Whitney Hanson earned provisional qualification for the NCAA Championships with a time of 2:15.96 in the 800 as she finished first in the event, set a DII school and all-time record. On Friday,
Logan Krueger earned a provisional qualification spot for the NCAA Championships in the weight throw with a throw of 17.93 m to finish first in the event.
Breanna Johns-Oster set a new school record in the women's weight throw with a distance of 16.22m to finish 2nd in the event on Friday.
Trujillo-Aragon won the 60m hurdles and recorded a program-best time 8.47 to mark the fastest time in NCAA Division II in program history.
