TOPEKA, Kan. --The Minot State volleyball team fell to the UC-Colorado Springs Mountain Lions 3-0 (12-25, 12-25, 20-25) Friday at Lee Arena in their second match of the Washburn Invitational presented by Hotel Topeka at City Center.
The non-conference loss moved Minot State to 0-2 on the season.
Roxy King finished with seven kills on the day to lead the Beavers attack. Minot State got 11 digs from Alexandra Koontz to lead them defensively.

SET 1 | The Beavers fell behind early, dropping a tough first set 25-12. Minot State trailed by as many as 13 points as UC-Colorado Springs never gave up the lead.
SET 2 | Minot State then dropped set two 25-12 to fall behind in the match two sets to none. The Beavers dropped the first point and never took the lead.
SET 3 | Minot State couldn't prolong the match and lost in set number three. The Beavers came up short by the score of 25-20. Minot State trailed by as many as nine points as UC-Colorado Springs grabbed the advantage for good at 8-7 in a set that was knotted up five times before the Mountain Lions took over the lead.
