TOPEKA, Kan. --The Minot State volleyball team lost to the Washburn Ichabods 3-0 (11-25, 10-25, 11-25) Saturday on the road at the Washburn Invitational presented by Hotel Topeka at City Center.at Lee Arena.
The non-conference loss dropped Minot State to 0-3 on the season.
Kylie Koontz finished with three kills on the day to lead the Beavers attack. Minot State got 11 digs from Tea Boeckel to lead them defensively.

How It Happened
SET 1 | The Beavers found themselves in an early deficit, dropping a tough first set 25-11. Minot State trailed by as many as 14 points as Washburn never gave up the lead.
SET 2 | A 25-10 set-two loss put Minot State in a 2-0 hole in the match. Minot State trailed by as many as 15 points as Washburn grabbed the advantage for good at 4-3 in a set that was knotted up three times before the Ichabods took over the lead.
SET 3 | Minot State was not able to win the third set and was swept by Washburn. The Beavers lost the first point and fought from behind the rest of the way before falling in the set 25-11.
