MINOT STATE ANNOUNCES NCAA MEMBERSHIP (Juy 13, 2012)
MINOT, N.D. – In July of 2012, a new era in athletic competition began at Minot State as the Beavers were accepted as a full member of the NCAA and the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference (NSIC), making Minot State Athletics a full-fledge NCAA Division II program.
With the 10
th anniversary of that moment approaching, the Minot State Athletic Department is looking to celebrate its first decade of competition by recognizing the Top 10 moments in the Beavers' NCAA era, starting in July.
Beaver Athletics is asking its fans, friends, and alumni to be part of the celebration of this momentous occasion by voting for their favorite NCAA moment of the past 10 years. We have compiled a list of the top team and individual accomplishments over the past decade for fans to choose from for their Top 10 favorites, or you can submit a favorite moment of your own.

www.MSUBeavers.com website starting Friday, July 1, as each Friday and Monday in July we will announce another of the Top 10 moments culminating with the No. 1 moment in Minot State's NCAA history – as voted by the Beaver fans, friends, and alumni – on Monday, August 1, which signals the start of the 11
th season of Beaver competition in the NCAA as Minot State's fall teams report that week to begin training for the 2022-23 season.

- Aug. 30, 2012, Minot State women's soccer team beats Minnesota State Moorhead 7-1 for school's first victory in school's first-ever game as official NCAA member
- 2012 Minot State women's soccer team wins NSIC Tournament, earns Minot State's 1st NCAA Tournament berth
- 2012-13 Carly Boag of Minot State women's basketball team named Daktronics HM All-American
- 2013 Kirk Capdeville of Minot State men's track & field team earns program's 1st-ever NCAA Championship berth in indoor pole vault
- 2013 Abbey Aide of Minot State women's track & field earns program's first NCAA Championships berth in women's outdoor pole vault
- 2013 Minot State softball team finishes 2nd in NSIC Tournament, earns program's 1st NCAA Tournament berth
- May 11, 2013, Minot State softball earns school's first-ever NCAA Tournament win, beats Emporia State 1-0

- 2015 Sienna Dailey earns Minot State women's track & field program's 2nd NCAA Championships berth in the indoor 400 meters
- 2015 Cody Schmidt of Minot State men's track & field team becomes 2nd NCAA All-American, finishes 11th in javelin at NCAA Outdoor Championships to earn 2nd Team All-American honors

- 2018 Minot State baseball team wins NSIC regular-season title
- 2019 Jordan Will of Minot State men's wrestling team wins NCAA Super Region V Tournament heavyweight title, Jered Sublet of Minot State men's wrestling team 3rd at 141 pounds, earn program's 2nd and 3rd NCAA Tournament berths
- 2019 Alexandra Demko of Minot State women's golf team earns program's 1st NCAA Women's Central Region Tournament berth
