MINOT, N.D. – The Minot State athletic department will be honoring the contribution of two community partners this Friday, as the Beavers hold an official "grand opening" and ribbon-cutting ceremony for the Beaver Nutrition Center in the MSU Dome.
Minot's Chamber Ambassadors will be on hand, along with members of the Beaver Athletic administration for this special ceremony to honor the generosity of First Western Bank and Trust, along with the generosity of Trusted Tire, whose sponsorship helped make the Nutrition Center a reality.
The ceremony will be at noon on Friday, May 1, at the Nutrition Center, located on the first floor of the MSU Dome.
"We are incredibly grateful for the partnership and support of First Western Bank and Trust and Trusted Tire in making our Nutrition Center possible," said
Janna McKechnie, Associate Director of Athletics for External Operations at Minot State. "This space has become an essential resource for our student-athletes, providing them with the fuel they need to perform at their highest level, both on and off the field. First Western Bank and Trust and Trusted Tire's commitment to Minot State Athletics directly impacts the health, recovery, and overall experience of our athletes, and we truly appreciate their investment in our program and our people."
The Nutrition Center provides healthy post-workout snacks to help Beaver student-athletes refuel, recover, and perform at the high level expected of them. Located on the first floor of the Dome, the Nutrition Center is available to Minot State student-athletes seven days a week. Refueling options include fresh fruit, protein bars, jerky, nut mixes, energy waffles, protein shakes, and protein Powerade slushies.
Samples of the protein drinks and snacks available for student-athletes will be offered during the ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday.
