MANKATO, MN --The Minot State volleyball team could not beat a potent Mavericks offense Friday on the road losing to Minnesota State in three sets (9-25, 19-25, 18-25).
The loss dropped Minot State's record to 0-14 overall and 0-7 in NSIC play.
Alexandra Koontz finished with five kills on the day to lead the Beavers attack. Minot State got five digs from Hailey Wathen and Emily Kotelnikoff to lead them defensively.

SET 1 | The Beavers found themselves in an early deficit, dropping a tough first set 25-9. Minot State trailed by as many as 16 points as Minnesota State never gave up the lead and controlled the set.
SET 2 | A 25-19 set-two loss put Minot State in a 2-0 deficit in the match. The Beavers dropped the first point and never clawed back into the lead. Minot State rallied from 9 points down, to make it 18-21, before dropping the set.
SET 3 | Minot State was not able to win the third set and was swept by Minnesota State. The Beavers dropped a tough set 25-18. Minot State trailed by as many as nine points as Minnesota State grabbed the advantage for good at 6-5 in a set that was tied up four times before the Mavericks took over the lead.
